Local Area Information

Between Ben A'an to the North & Ben Venue to the South and Loch Katrine to the West & Loch Achray to the East - we are in the heart of one of the most picturesque parts of Scotland.

Within the Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park there's lots to see and do.

Walking

If you are into walking or longer distance trails then The Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, The West Highland Way, Rob Roy Way, The Great Trossachs Path, Ben A'an, Ben Ledi, Ben Lomond, Ben Venue are all just a short drive away.

Fishing

We are situated to give you a good base for visiting all the fishing sites within the area. The following Lochs, Lakes & Rivers are all easily accesible:

Lake of Menteith, Loch Archray, Loch Ard, Loch Arcklet, Loch Chon, Loch Doine, Loch Drunkie, Loch Earn, Loch Finglas, Loch Goil, Loch Katrine, Loch Lomond, Loch Long, Loch Lubnaig, Loch Tay, Loch Venacher, Loch Voil, Lochan Reoidhte, River Forth, River Teith, River Goil, River Dochart.

Cycling

The National Cycle Network, Route 7, passes through the Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park. From the South, Balloch, Drymen, Gartmore, Aberfoyle, Callendar, Strathyre, Balquidder to Killin in the North.

There are also a number of Mountain Biking Trails in the area. Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, Aberfoyle Bike Park, Braeval Loop, Carron Valley Mountain Bike Trails, The Glenfinglas Route & The Mentieth Hills are just a few.

Golf

The famous St Andrews Golf Club can be reached within 2 hours and Gleneagles only 20 minutes away. There are also a number of local clubs offering golfing for various abilities. Aberfoyle Golf Club, Buchanan Castle Golf Club, Callender Golf Club, Strathendrick Golf Club are the closest.

Adventure Activities

Go Country, Go Ape, Loch Katrine & David Marshall Lodge Visitor Centre have a number of family adventure activities and are right on our doorstep.

Loch Lomond National Park in Balloch has a National Nature Reserve, Bird of Prey Centre & Aquarium.

Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park and the Argarty Red Kites Centre are only a short drive away.

Villages & Towns

There are a number of little villages close by with coffee shops & tea rooms, pubs & restaurants, gift shops & conveniences. Gartmore Village, Kinlochard, Aberfoyle, Balfron, Drymen & Callendar are all a short drive away.

Cities

The bigger cities of Stirling, Edinburgh & Glasgow are all within driving distance where you will find lots of visitor attractions, museums, shops & restaurants.
